How to use these puzzles
For younger learners, read the word list aloud before starting. Ask them to circle familiar words first, then work on the less familiar ones. A 12×12 grid may be easier than a larger grid, but the word list and reading level matter too.
Try this activity
After finding each word, say it in a sentence. For example, use a weather word to describe today or a fruit word to describe a favorite snack.
Are these puzzles free?
Yes. No signup is required to generate or print these puzzles. Use the Print puzzle and Print answer key buttons on any puzzle page.
Can I change the puzzle difficulty?
You can change the grid size and edit the word list. Longer word lists and larger grids can be more challenging, but difficulty varies by puzzle.
